Triumph Stag Recommissioned and Restored
This Triumph Stag has been completely recommissioned and restored by Restoria Classic’s hardworking team of classic car restoration specialists.
This work was carried out for a great client, Colin, who shared this great 5-star review on Google. “Restoria brought my 1977 Triumph Stag from a barn based wreck to a fully working and immaculate condition on the road car. The work was done professionally and the overall result is fabulous, you can see pictures on their website for yourself.”
Part of Restoria Classic’s mission is to get more classic cars on the road so it’s great to hear this Triumph Stag will be driving the open roads!

A Triumph Stag restoration project is always exciting to work on. Originally, this car was designed as a bit of an experiment by Giovanni Michelotti. The first prototype was cut and shaped from a 1963-64 pre-production 2000 Saloon. Michelotti had an agreement with Director of Triumph Engineering, Harry Webster, that if he liked the design… They’d go on to make it! Webster, of course, loved the design and took the design back to England. The car was then sold between 1970 and 1978, and really encapsulated the strong lines and bold designs synonymous with classic cars from the 70s.
A fun fact about the Triumph Stag: Triumph gave new projects 4 letter ‘code names’. For example, the Triumph Spitfire was called ‘Bomb’ in development. The stag is the only Triumph car to take that name all the way through from development to production.
